How does guitar make sound?

The guitar is an instrument and is one of the easiest instruments to learn. The guitar is one of the instruments that most people like to play. How does a guitar make sound?

There is a hole in the middle of the guitar. That hole is called a sound hole. A guitar is loud, the reason for this is that when you strum the strings it vibrates and makes sounds waves that bounce off the back of the guitar.

There are lots of parts of the guitar there are the strings, long neck, chords, shape, and others. The guitar has tuning keys which keeps it tuned and sound like what it supposed to.

How are you meant to hold the guitar? well when you are holding the guitar your left hand is holding the long side with all the chords. Your right hand strums all the strings and changes to different chords.

The guitar makes lots of sounds and its easy to play. I would really want to learn more songs on the guitar.

Ata and Martha Funnel ears Science experiment template

Science experiment:

Question: What will happen to the sound if I change the shape of a piece of paper? (e.g. from a flat shape to a funnel shape)
It not that loud like a normal paper I have try it with the circle paper and it was a little loud. But not as loud as a normal paper.

Links to research about Sound:

Hypothesis: (What do you think will happen?) e.g. I think that….
You hear things like louder and sound like a robot. Might here and eco noise, sounds might reflect from the paper and might sound worse.

Materials needed:
Paper,Toshishes,sellatap

Experiment (procedure):

e.g. Step 1 - First hold a flat piece of paper against your ear. Block your other ear with your hand. Get your partner to speak to you. What is the sound like? Can you hear clearly?

Step 2 - Next, roll the piece of paper into a funnel shape. Put the funnel against your ear. Face the funnel towards your partner and listen to them speak. What does it sound like? Can you hear clearly?

Step 3 - Next, face the funnel to the side while your partner speaks to you. Does it make a difference to the sound that you can hear?

Step 4 - Put some cotton balls or tissue paper into the funnel to block one end. Does it make a difference to the sound you hear?

Step 5 - Next, roll the piece of paper up and l

Data (What happened?)

Shape/object/materials
Results:
1
flat piece of paper
I didn’t make a difference, There was no excitement.
2
funnel facing to the front
It did and echo sound, You could hear a bit louder then you normally do.
3
funnel facing to the side
You could hear the person at less louder the usual.
4
cotton ball or tissue  blocking the narrow end of the funnel
It was twice as loud as we normal here.
5
rolled up piece of paper (facing to the front)
It was loud .
6
rolled up piece of paper (facing to the side)
It was the same as the one shape as a cone.

Observations:
When I put the piece of paper to my ear it didn’t make a difference. When I tried out the cone it sound louder. It goes with the rolled piece of paper. When we try out with the cone when we put the toshie it sound like baby voices.

Cutting the piece of paper it sound a bit loud but not as like the cone vision.

Conclusion:
It wasn't that clear but it was really sounding like a robot

How can music affect your brain

Title: How can music affect your brain?
Intro
Music is a type of sound. if you hit the drums it makes a really loud beat and bass is just like drums but really hard to play. They are one of the loudest instruments ever. Music is one of the best things to listen to when you are bored or when you have nothing to do.

Music can be relaxing, calming, happy, sad, and other emotions. People enjoy listening to music maybe because it calms them down or because it is relaxing for people. Many people can fall asleep easily. I reckon teenagers just like to listen to music when they are studying for something.

Sometimes people like to listen to really old music like about back in the days. Most people listen to old music and maybe videos because it brings back all the memories from a long long time ago. Many people like to watch videos of when they were young.

Many people like to listen to their favourite Artists. Like Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Eminem Will.I.Am, Tyga and Chris Brown. I think my favourite artists is Eminem. Some people might like Eminem because he raps fast and because his songs are really cool.

Instruments are loud and clear drums makes all the beats. The bass is like a drums but you have to follow the beat. Electric guitar is just like you are playing a normal guitar same cords same thing but electric guitar is kind of different. The guitar is light and easy to hold but the electric guitar is heavy and hard to hold on to.

Without all those music and sound we wouldn’t have anything to listen to the world will really awkward with out nothing to listen to. When it is really loud in your classroom, at home, other places and even when you are studying for something it will be hard because all the noise is annoying you and you will have to just go with it and listen to all the sound.

Sounds I can hear

Sounds I can hear

Today I’m going to be telling you about the sounds I can hear. Sounds I hear from different places.

There are many things you can hear at home like slow music, hip hop  jazz,
rock and pop music. A lot of teenagers like to kickback in bed and listen to hip hop and sometimes sleep. Teenagers can be lazy and just lay in bed and sleep all day.
Everyday I go to school I hear a lot of things like birds, laughing, jokes, cars and also the wind. In class I can hear a lot of chatting and a lot of laughing. People like to listen to music with their earphones. Sometimes people talk while they are listening to music.

When I’m at home or at school I can hear a lot of sounds. I can’t even imagine the whole wide world with no sound that will be really awkward. Not one person will be able to communicate to others. It will be really hard for others to solve problems when they are sad.

I really enjoy having sounds in my life because without sound no one will be able to solve problems or talk. The whole wide world will be so silent.

Ata Sicence experiment

Science experiment:

Question: What will happen to the sound if I cut the straw shorter and blow through it?

Links to research about Sound:

Hypothesis: (What do you think will happen?) e.g. I think that there would be different sounds. The sound will be higher pitched.

Materials needed: scissors, straw

Experiment (procedure):
e.g. Step 1 -  crease straw 2-3cm on one end

Step 2 -   cut the creased end of the straw into a triangle shape.

Step 3 -  Listen to the sound it makes and  record

Step 4 -  cut the straw shorter

Step 5 - blow on cut end, listen and record

Data (What happened?) straw length:
Long 15cm
makes a sound
10cm
sound was higher
5cm
sound was more high pitched.

Observations: My straw was 15cm long when I cut my straw into a triangle I blew it right away my lips felt numb and the noise of the straw was loud and a bit deep. When I made it smaller by cutting it to 10cm there was a different sound . Then I cut it to 5cm it was way different to the other two . So from 15cm it was deep form 10cm it was a bit higher and from 5cm it was higher than 10cm.

Conclusion: My Hypothesis was right because the shorter I cut the straw the higher pitched the sound got.
