Cleo's Big Day

On a beautiful spring day the green grass has grown the sun is out and Cleo and her friends were grazing. Her wool was making her so hot because it hasn’t been cut for a whole year.

Cleo was having a good time until she heard a four wheeler with dogs, she was so afraid because the last time the dogs chased her into a pen. And the farmer was really mean so he gave her some medicine which was really yuk.

Cleo was worried because she could see that the dogs were coming straight to her and her friends.

I don’t know what’s happening? I can still hear dogs barking and I wonder what is inside the shed? I’m feeling very very terrified she is trying her best to run away but she couldn’t so she had to stay outside in the sun with the other ewe.

Now we are moving into the shed there is a lot of ewe inside the shed. It is a lot of ewe and I think there is about three hundred as I have noticed. It takes a long time to get shorn but we have to wait until tomorrow which will take a long time.   

We are still waiting in the shed we start the shorn tomorrow which is good to some of us we are stuck in a pen with fence around them which is good so the sheep doesn't run away. Now its time to sleep for a big day tomorrow.

Morning time job start’s now we have a lot of work to do its Cleo’s turn she is trying to get away but she can’t because the shearers flip her on her back and all Cleo can do is kick them with her feet.

Finally its over and my wool is off I can feel the fresh air. Which is good all I can do now is hang around with my friends, play around, and eat the green grass .

This week was a rough week especially yesterday and today. It wasn’t that bad Cleo and her friends are now running around. And now all I hope is just spring can be over and my wool will grow slowly so I don’t have to do it again.
