Matariki

Matariki are 7 stars that you can see in the sky it is so important to Maori because it is a new year for them you can see all of the five-hundreds cluster of stars. You can see clearly with a telescope but if you use a naked eye you can only see seven stars.
You can only see Matariki May and June and thats when you celebrate Matariki you can  see Matariki early in the morning and then it will disappear around April or May. There names are called Waiti, Waita, Tupu-a-nuku,Tupu-a-rangi,Waipuna-a-rangi,Ururangi,Matariki.

They only make a hangi when it is Matariki I like Matariki because you get to see seven stars in the sky when it is dawning and then when the sun will rise then it will disappear sometimes at night I like to look up in the sky and look at the stars in the sky.
