Reading Goals

Right now i'm at the Orange level. By next week I want to move to the blue level, my goals are to be better in reading and to complete some of my reading task. To reach my goal I have to get over 75% to reach my goal.

Letter to Mr Wiseman

Dear Mr Wiseman,

My name is Ata and I am 11 years old. I’m feeling very excited to start a great year to the term. I live with my Mum Dad older brother and my little sister. The memories I could remember when I was little was my first birthday. My favourite hobby is sports I’m good at stepping and touch. I have been to Tonga and I would love to visit Samoa. This year I am looking forward to sports. The best thing about Point England is that we get new sports gears every year.

Thank you for coming on our yr 7 trip to the Auckland Museum. All the teachers and kids are thankful for all your help. Without your help us teachers and kids wouldn’t be able to go on that trip.

Thank you for giving up your time to help us. My highlight was getting to go into that volcano.

Touch Tournament

Last week on Thursday the year 7 & 8’s got the opportunity to play touch at a tournament against the best Intermediate teams in Auckland. There were two teams going to the tournament. It was held at a park in Mangere and it was also a fun day out. We had a theme about anti bullying.

To start off the day we had to go and watch our other mixed team because they played before us. We warmed up after 5 minutes after our warm up we walked to our field we played on field 1. The ref had explained what the rules are.

Through half of the day we were winning all our games and we made it into the semi finals. It was a pretty tough game. We almost lost but then in the last minute one of our teammates did one of his magic tricks and we had won.

We had made the finals and it was a really hard game. We played Kedgley Intermediate in the finals. They had fast sets and fast people and they also had a good team. Even though we lost we still came 2nd place.

I was proud of my team even though we didn’t win, but I'm still proud of my team.
